MD State Park Facilities Online Reservations
In order to better serve its customers Maryland Department of Natural Resources Secretary Sarah Taylor-Rogers announced effective Jan. 9, it will be possible to make reservations on the internet for the use of facilities at Maryland State Parks.
"This new service is part of Governor Glendening's directive for state agencies to provide better service to the public through the use of modern technology," said Secretary Taylor-Rogers.
In order that all visitors will have equal access to the reservation system, reservations may be made on-line as well as through the call center (1-888-432-2267) between the hours of 8 a.m. and 8 p.m. EST Monday through Friday. Reservations will not be accepted on Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year's Days. Accommodations can be made up to 12 months in advance of the date of arrival.
The new system offers easier access to cabin, camping site and picnic shelter reservations statewide. Interested persons may plan their entire trip from home by visiting the Department of Natural Resources' reservations website at reservations.dnr.state.md.us or at the reservation call center's website at www.reserveworld.com
Maryland's state parks offer visitors more than 2,000 campsites, 120 full-service and camper cabins and 100 picnic shelters. These facilities can be reserved for arrivals from May 1 through September 30; reservations will be accepted year round from the website or through the toll-free reservation call center. For reservations from Oct.1 through April 30, please call the specific park for information regarding facility use and availability. Contact information, maps, and lists of amenities, may be seen at www.dnr.state.md.us.
