In past years we have had numerous requests of ice breaking services in shallow or narrow bodies of water that resulted in damages to vessels. In order to keep that from reoccurring the vessel masters will make the final judgment as to where they will cease activities. We are encouraging all commercial watermen to move their vessels to areas near out patrol boat stations or Coast Guard stations, prior to freezing conditions.

To contact any of our units please call the Natural resources Police Communications Center at 410-260-8940 if non-emergency , or at 410-260-8888 for emergencies. This number is good 24 hours. The communications center will have a contact sheet with 24 hour numbers of all necessary personnel.
