The Moorings new 433 charter monohull was named Boat of The Year by Cruising World Magazine for best production cruiser under $200,000. The M433 won the prestigious award from a field of 26 boats and in its category ran against the Hunter 320, Gib'Sea 33, Catalina 390, Etap 39 and the Bavaria 40 Ocean.
"Once again we have received this outstanding honor from Cruising World Magazine," commented Lex Rass, Moorings Vice President of Operations. "We earned 'Best Charter Boat' in 1998 from Cruising World for our popular Moorings 4500 catamaran. This award again emphasizes our commitment to include the best and newest yachts to our charter fleet so that our customers get the very best sailing experience worldwide."
The Moorings 433, built by Dufour Yachts in France, features three spacious cabins, a setee in the owner's cabin that can convert to an additional stateroom and two large heads. It also offers an L-shaped saloon to starboard and a large cockpit with dual helm.
The Moorings 433 won the production category and "tipped the scales" for engine access, great removable headliner, and separate AC and DC electrical panels. The yacht was praised for "comfortably laid out, light, fun and cheery" cabins, as well as "nice life-raft access" and "good drum height for roller-furling genoa."
Overall The Moorings 433 was acknowledged as "A lot of boat."
