National Aquarium in Baltimore Introduces New Immersion Tours

Visitors can now dive beneath the surface and go behind the scenes with new Immersion Tours at the National Aquarium in Baltimore. These highly interactive programs provide unique small group tours with private guides that take visitors to working areas not accessible to general admission visitors.

Immersion Tours are designed to enhance a visitor's experience, providing a more in-depth look at the Aquarium and some of its most popular exhibits.

Premium Gallery Tours enable guests to enter before the Aquarium opens, providing a more private atmosphere. These guided tours include breakfast, followed by visits to the Aquarium's most popular exhibits: the Amazon River Forest, Open Ocean, Atlantic Coral Reef, and the blockbuster Seahorses: Beyond Imagination. Participants also see how the Aquarium prepares food for its animals and even help feed the 600 residents of the Atlantic Coral Reef exhibit. Afterward, guests enjoy reserved seating in the Aquarium's famous dolphin show.

Dolphin Discovery Tours start with a visit to the marine mammal kitchen to see (and smell!) the dolphins' food. Guests wind their way through the life support room, discovering how Aquarium staff cares for these amazing creatures. Guests will also join a trainer on-deck and meet the dolphins up- close before enjoying reserved seating in the dolphin show.

All tours require advanced reservations. For dates, times, and prices please visit http://www.aqua.org/. For reservations, call 410-576-3833, Monday through Friday between 9:00 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. EST.

The National Aquarium in Baltimore, a non-profit organization, is Maryland's leading attraction, hosting more than 1.6 million visitors per year. The Aquarium's mission is to connect people with aquatic life in order to create a better world for both. It's dedicated to education and conservation through a wide variety of programs that serve the environment and the community.
