Anne Arundel Medical Center’s holiday light show Lights on the Bay at Sandy Point State Park is now in full swing. This year’s show features a two-mile drive along the shore of the Chesapeake Bay where more than 60 spectacular animated and stationary displays illuminate the roadways.

“AAMC’s Lights on the Bay show has become a tradition among many area families,” event coordinator Kathie Mele said. “It is a magical experience for all ages and every year we add new add new attractions and special touches to keep it fresh and entertaining.”

There will be several new displays this year including those based on the Chesapeake Bay and the North Pole as well as popular hold-over displays such as the USNA midshipmen tossing their hats in the air and a replica of a Colonial village inspired by historic Annapolis. All proceeds from the event benefit Anne Arundel Medical Center.

The event will run nightly from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. from Nov. 17 through Jan. 4, holidays included. The park is located on Route 50, exit 32, near the Bay Bridge.
